We think that YOU need to brag more. Yes, you. About your mentoring program.
Here at the Alberta Mentoring Partnership, we think that you need to celebrate more about the work that you doing and the difference you are making in the lives of young people life.
And we have the perfect opportunity for you: #mentoringmonth — a month-long celebration of mentoring happening across Alberta.
Externally, throughout the month of January we will be promoting opportunities to become a mentor and recruiting mentors for YOUR agency. (Note: Have you made sure that your contact information is correct? Got stories/pictures/videos? Send them to us.)
Internally to AMP partners, we will be raising awareness of AMP resources and tools to help you expand and enhance your mentoring program.
All you need to do to participate is email us and we will send you a toolkit of promotional materials that you can use to celebrate your mentoring program.

Important #MentoringMonth Days
- January 4th: I Am a Mentor Day
- A day for volunteer mentors to celebrate their role and reflect on the ways mentees have enhanced their world.
- January 17th, 2019: International Mentoring Day
- A day of international conversations on social media where photos, video, and powerful mentoring stories messages are shared.
- A day of international conversations on social media where photos, video, and powerful mentoring stories messages are shared.
- January 27th-31st, 2019: This week consists of the #ThankYourMentor campaign. Anyone with real life mentoring experiences can thank those who helped them on their path to adulthood and beyond.

- Word of mouth is the best press. Let your agency and volunteers know that January is #MentoringMonth and to also let their friends know!
