Find a Mentoring Opportunity
Mentors are caring adults who help build a stronger community through the simple act of spending time with a child.
Mentors are caring adults who strengthen our community through the simple act of spending time with youth.
Mentors create open and trusting relationships with our youth. Mentors help kids foster a sense of belonging, build self-confidence and learn new skills and passions. Talking and spending time with engaged adults gives children positive experiences during periods of heightened brain development. This positive mentoring helps children build a solid foundation that prepares them for the future demands of the adult world.
Science tells us that healthy interactions with supportive adults boosts children’s brain development, mental health, and well-being.
The most valuable skill required to be a mentor is being an adult who cares. If you are interested in making a difference in the life of a child, you are in the right place.
Become a mentor and help a young person do better in school and reach for their goals. Your presence, time, support, advice, friendship and constructive role modelling will make a big impact.
