About
Our outreach program at Cameron Crossing aims to:
- Inspire and Connect
- To promote intellectual development and social-emotional wellness through effective programming and instruction, social-emotional competency building, strong connections, and all stakeholders involvement in a safe, caring and inclusive environment which prepares students for educational, vocational and life skills beyond school.
Program Description
We believe that connections give self-worth, pride and skills to people. In order to make inter-generational and long lasting impacts on a community a focus must be on connecting at risk youth. At-risk youth are vulnerable to dropping out of school, alcohol/drug use, addictions, community disengagement, family disengagement, etc. We know that it takes one positive relationship to make a difference in the life of a youth for generations to come. The positive social outcomes that this focus can have is essential to the prosperity of a community.
