About
St. John Ambulance (SJA) otherwise known as THE PRIORY OF CANADA OF THE MOST VENERABLE ORDER OF THE HOSPITAL OF ST. JOHN OF JERUSALEM is an incorporated non-for-profit charity. For more than 130 years, St. John Ambulance has been training hundreds of thousands of individuals annually in first aid and other healthcare related courses.
A fundamental focus of SJA is community service. Coast-to-coast, more than 12,000 front-line volunteers serve communities by providing first aid services at events and during emergencies.
St. John Ambulance community service volunteers also improve quality of life through programs that help seniors, the disadvantaged, and youth. Proceeds from SJA training programs support charitable activities across the country.

Program Description
Youth involvement has been an essential component of St. John Ambulance's community services, and we are currently developing a new and exciting program for youth 14 to 19 years of age – a Youth Health and Safety Leadership Certificate Program. The goal of this new program is to engage and enable young Canadians to improve their health, safety, confidence and competence through health and safety oriented training, volunteer community-based service and leadership opportunities.
