About
Through the Children's Grief Centre, families with children aged 19 and under are supported as they adjust to the changes when someone close to them has died. Using individual, family counselling and group support, we work with children, teens, and their families to help them gain the tools they need to face grief.
Region
Calgary & Area.
Program Description
The Children's Grief Centre provides a range of programs to support families through their grief. We offer professional counselling to help individuals and families navigate their loss and adjust to significant life changes. For children and teens, support groups are available to reduce feelings of isolation, foster a sense of community, and build resilience. The centre also organizes Youth & Family Enjoyment Groups, which use fun and connecting activities like laser tag and movie nights to help families rediscover joy. Additionally, the centre provides a variety of online resources and practical tools for both those who are grieving and the people supporting them.
