About
The BGC of Red Deer & District (Youth HQ) provides programs and services for children, youth and families throughout Red Deer and area. All programs and services are accessible by all, regardless of social or financial barriers. We have been serving Red Deer and area since 1983.Boys and Girls Clubs of Red Deer and District aspires a commitment to quality with respect to all its programs and services, and utilizes a strength based approach in working with young people.

Program Description
Community Based Programs
Regular programs are run throughout the year with specific programs targeting specific age groups
Kids Clubs: For ages 6 - 12 years. The age range for the club allows for leadership and mentoring opportunities for the older participants. Activities during these clubs are diverse and may include recreational sports, arts and crafts, cultural activities, guest speakers, and homework assistance.
ZAP: For ages 7 - 9 years. The ZAP club has provided young children with unique experiences such as snorkelling and rock climbing. The children will also take part in many recreational sports, arts and crafts and a variety of leisure games.
Torch: For ages 10 - 12 years.Torch Clubs empower youth with the knowledge and the skills to make positive choices in their lives in addition to giving them a place to use their creative skills to make a difference! Youth will participate in a variety of fulfilling opportunities such as high energy games, arts and crafts weekend retreats, technology based workshops, and much more!
Keystone: For ages 13 - 17 years. Keystone is a club run by youth for youth with the support of adult staff and volunteer advisors. The Keystone Club elects their executives who then play a major role in planning their calendar. Keystone focuses on leadership, education, career development, economic awareness, community service, and social recreation. Youth also participate in regional and national
