About
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area (BBBS Calgary) is a donor supported, volunteer driven organization recognized for mentoring programs for children and youth in Calgary, Airdrie, Chestermere, Cochrane, High River, Okotoks, Rocky View County and surrounding areas.
The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area mission is to enable life-changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential of young people. We achieve this with volunteers in our community. With the support of a caring mentor, young people develop the resilience to overcome adversity so they can reach their full potential. All children benefit from having a positive adult role model in their lives, and the impact of mentor in these early years will last a lifetime.

Program Description
The presence of a caring adult in a young person’s life impacts society, workplaces, families and communities. Our programs combine passion with patience, empathy and a generous spirit that encourages real connections to form. At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary we offer programs such as:
- Mentoring as a Big Brother / Big Sister / Big Couple
- Mentoring for Youth
- Mentoring for Children and Youth in Care
- PRISM – Mentoring for LGBTQ2S+ Children and Youth
- Mentoring at a school
- Teen mentoring
- Between Generations Mentoring
