Rainbow Literacy Society
About
Rainbow Literacy Society (RLS) has been serving Vulcan County residents with Adult and Family Literacy programs for over 28 years! Rainbow Literacy Society is a volunteer, non-profit society (charity) which was formed by a group of volunteers from Vulcan County that believed Literacy for All was important. We became a registered charity in September 2001.
Members of Rainbow Literacy Society believe that language, literacy and communication skills are critical factors in the lives of every citizen in our community.
Rainbow Literacy Society is well established and recognized for its programming, volunteers and staff across the province. We strive to offer the best programs and partnerships to serve county residents with all their literacy and learning goals!
Program Description
Our free family literacy programs include programs for parents and young children, our in home family literacy program “Building Blocks”, the B.A.S.I.S (Building Adolescent Skills in School) program for junior high grades, and we are hoping to start a mentorship program between the high school in Vulcan and the elementary school.
