Learning Disabilities Association of Alberta (LDAA), the provincial office that supports the chapters, assists people with learning disabilities so they can develop to their full potential. The programs and services of the LDAA include: Public awareness and education; Advocacy; Chapter development; Resource development; Scholarships and collaboration; Coordination with other related groups. The Association is implementing a new program in a number of Alberta schools to screen kindergarten children, identify those at risk of school failure, and provide interventions to meet their special needs.
