CASA Child Adolescent and Family Mental Health
About
Program Description
CASA is a charitable organization providing mental health services to infants, children, adolescents and their families in the Capital Region, as well as from central and northern Alberta. CASA offers services ranging from consultation in community outreach settings to intensive treatment in day and residential programs. The CASA Mentoring Program involves volunteers as mentors for children/youth in mental health treatment at a time when the child or youth is making progress with therapy and would benefit from a caring relationship with an adult volunteer. Volunteers develop these relationships through learning related experiences or recreational activities. Mentoring relationships build self esteem, improve skill levels, assist with transitions to school or community and provide positive role models for our youth.
