About
We are the Youth Wellness Alliance (YWA), a student-led organization established in 2020 that is dedicated to improving the lives of Edmonton youth and families in need through community-based wellness initiatives such as access to education, food, and toys/books. We are also focused on promoting inclusivity through diversity projects such as the YEG Dignity Mural that we created in partnership with the John Humphrey Centre and the City of Edmonton. Our team believes that no child or youth should be left behind!

Program Description
We have recently launched the READY4WORK Youth Program to provide youth with transferable career skills such as writing targeted resumes/cover letters and job search skills. Our aim is to connect youth to trained volunteers virtually or in-person to receive guided support to navigate the job market and even create targeted applications for awards/ scholarships! Our aim is to address employability barriers, particularly for homeless and newcomer youth, however we strongly encourage all youth to sign up! We are dedicated to partnering with local organizations to advance and support existing mentorship services as well!
