Program Description
One-on-One Tutoring
Our tutoring program provides educational support through free tutoring services offered directly from SSY and our outstanding UofA student tutors. Tutors undergo SSY’s tutor training program and pass a police check upon request. Our tutoring services are one-on-one and are usually offered once per week for an hour, however, this may be adjusted based on the needs of the student. This program is available to students in Grades 5 - 12, they can use the QR code on the poster to sign up or go to linktr.ee/starsfsyuofa.
Stars Mentorship
Our mentorship program which will be launching in January pairs UofA students and youth to help them better understand the university experience, and navigate through life and their interests. Students will have the opportunity to attend free and fun social events as well! This program is available to all students in Grades 5 - 12 but is recommended for high school students. We will send more information about this program closer to January.
