Program Description
Mentorship programs run twice per year, and we bring together people from all backgrounds. Our mentors and protégés work on various things, such as personal growth and development, leadership, workplace challenges, career changes, building networks, questioning comfort zones, and work-life effectiveness. Volunteer mentors donate their time; protégés pay between $50-$70 (sliding scale) to participate in the program. The funds cover program costs as we are entirely non-profit and volunteer-run. We also offer at least one free protégé spot per program to a community organization.
Community engagement events are an opportunity for attendees to get informed about issues that matter to them. Typically each event hosts speakers on topics that range from civic engagement to current affairs. As well, each occasion provides the opportunity for attendees to engage with each other and the speakers. Our discussions are non-partisan but frequently include topics that can be political. For example, some of our past events include the #metoo movement, elections, and Indigenous issues.
