Program Description
Our intergenerational programs bring together groups of older adults in various centres in Calgary, with youth from Junior High or High Schools that are within the vicinity of each centre. Each program has youth and older adults; activities are provided for them to engage in in order to get to know each other better. The goal is for the young and old to form friendships throughout the duration of the programs, which is about seven months of meeting together weekly or bi-weekly.
