Big Brothers Big Sisters is about matching a child/youth with an adult or teen mentor, a "Big", to establish a positive relationship in their life. We believe this is an essential part of healthy growth and development in young lives, and seek to match any young person who comes through our doors.
We believe in possibilities, and the potential every child/youth has for a future where anything is possible. Mentorship is a means today to create a better tomorrow.
Big Brothers Big Sisters has been active for over 100 years. The organization came to the Red Deer & District region in 1976 and has been at work in this community ever since. Several programs and services are available to young persons and their families, including in-school mentoring. We also provide activities for wait-list child/youth, those who haven't been matched just yet and are waiting to meet their new Big friend.
