About

A Way Home Canada is a national coalition dedicated to preventing, reducing, and ending youth homelessness in Canada.

What We Do
• Policy Transformation: They advocate for government policies that shift the focus from managing homelessness with emergency shelters to stopping it before it starts.
• Systems Planning: They provide tools, training, and leadership to help local communities and governments plan coordinated responses across education, health, and child welfare.
• Evidence-Driven Research: They partner with groups like the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness to conduct major studies and provide data for targeted solutions.
• Community Practice: They run a pan-Canadian community of practice to share real-world strategies, including specialized supports for LGBTQ2S+ youth and family interventions
