EDPY 397: Mentoring Children & Adolescents Distance Education – 3.00 Credits

Previously only offered at the University of Alberta in class, this course is now offered through Distance Education and Off-Campus Locations (Edmonton, Fort McMurray & Grande Prairie).

Do you want to earn credits towards your degree and gain practical experience with children?
The EDPY 397: Mentoring Children & Adolescents distance education course will allow you to earn 3.00 credits. Students are expected to participate in eight online lectures between September and December. Students are required to participate in a mentoring program offered by Big Brothers Big Sisters for a minimum of 30 hours. There are daytime or evening and group or individual programs available.
This course is open to students in ALL FACULTIES, there are NO PREREQUISITES required and it can be used as an Education or Open Option. The course is also open for open studies students who are not enrolled in any university program.
