About

We are the amalgamation of two internationally recognized child serving organizations; Boys & Girls Clubs and Big Brothers Big Sisters.  By combining the concepts of both, BGCBigs delivers programs that address the physical, emotional, academic and overall wellness of children and youth.

In 2017-2018, nearly 5,500 kids and their families participated in our programs, with the support of over 3,300 volunteers.

BGCBigs provides safe places for kids to be after school, during school holidays and over the summer months through our 15 neighborhood clubs and school sites.  With school and community partnerships, our goals are to ensure kids have access to supportive programming, meal provision and adult mentoring where they live and learn.

We also offer volunteer driven mentoring programs in a variety of ways.  Caring adults share their time with a child or group of children in more than 60 Edmonton and area schools and in the community.

All in for Youth Program

Program Description

This first-of-its-kind local initiative focuses on getting children and youth successfully through their education years and on to high school completion.
Education is the foundation for a bright future. But sometimes in life, challenges get in the way and extra support is needed. When students face personal, learning or family related difficulties it can reduce their chances of completing high school and increase their chances of continuing to struggle in the future.
All in for Youth brings together programs and services in a new way to help every child achieve their very best, by providing support to them and their families. By taking care of critical needs now, we stand a far better chance of helping them get through tough times, build skills and set children up for academic success.
