LIMITED SPACE REGISTER NOW: Invitation to AMP Learning Day May 25th, 2018

On behalf of Robyn Blackadar, Chair of the AMP Research, Evaluation, and Knowledge Mobilization pillar, we are excited to let you know that pre-registration is open for AMP Learning Day 2018— May 25th 2018, hosted by the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension and Community University Partnership (CUP).

As a pre-game show to the Learning Day, we are also scheduling a series of webinars around these themes. We are finalizing details but they will include star researchers such as Michael Garringer on connecting research to program improvements and Dr. Kate Storey to share her research on Indigenous peer mentoring. Stay tuned by joining our learning community of practice here: (albertamentors.ca/learning)
While we will not be hosting a National Mentoring Symposium in 2018, we are excited to share with you an invite-only opportunity to learn, share, and build relationships within the Alberta Mentoring Community.
SAVE THE DATE! Further details will be forthcoming as to speakers, presentation opportunities, and workshops, but we assure you it will be relevant, topical, timely— because it’s being organized by the same great folks who brought us the National Mentoring Symposium. Please start thinking about presentations or subjects your organization might be willing to share around the themes of research, evaluation, and knowledge mobilization and let us know how you are willing to support (mentor.support@albertamentors.ca)
ACTION: If you would be so kind as to register yourself at the link below, or maybe send a couple of your staff, we would be much obliged. Registration will be limited to 50 for this first event, but we hope that in future years there will be more opportunities for engagement (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/amp-learning-day-2018-tickets-43572310955)
ACTION: Help us with our sessions. Do you have a suggested topic, speaker, session, presenter? The number one area flagged from the national mentoring symposium was assistance with evaluation, so that is front of mind. I also know that as members of BBBS Canada, you have greater access to supports, so maybe a different topic is front of mind for you?
We look forward to hearing from you!
