Welcome AMP's Newest Partners – September 2014

Please join us in welcoming the following organizations as new AMP Partners this month

Hospice Calgary

In a compassionate environment, Hospice Calgary supports children, teens and adults coping with life-threatening illness, sudden or expected death. At their two centres of care, Sage Centre and Rosedale Hospice, specialists provide individual counselling, group support, workshops and 24-hour end-of-life care.
Hospice Calgary offers the only professional, specialized services for grieving children in southern Alberta. Sage Centre counsellors specialize in helping families with children and teens adjust to the changes in their lives. Among many other valuable programs, Hospice Calgary offers the Mentoring Through Grief Program which matches bereaved youth mentors, ages 14–24, with grieving children ages 5–12. Mentors and mentees are previous clients and have been referred to the program by a Hospice Calgary counsellor. Participants meet once a month for fun activities and 1:1 mentoring in a group setting. Membership to Mentoring Through Grief, both as mentor and mentee, is based on the recommendation of a Sage Centre counsellor.
